Welcome to the Applicants 2024 web page! This page is for those applying for entry in 2024 or 2025 and contains some important information about the admissions process. Please read it carefully and make sure you have followed any instructions that are relevant to you.

Rough Guide to Admissions

The Rough Guide to Admissions outlines the application process at Trinity Hall.

My Cambridge Application

Shortly after submitting your UCAS application, you’ll be asked via email to complete a further online form called My Cambridge Application. To make a valid application to the University of Cambridge, you must submit My Cambridge Application by the required deadline, which is 18:00 (UK time) on 23 October.

Extenuating Circumstances

If you have experienced particular personal or educational disadvantage, you may wish to make use of the Extenuating Circumstances Form.

Additional Applicant Information Form (AAIF)

All applicants are asked to complete an Additional Applicant Information Form by 2 November. This form will ask you to read and agree to a statement on the confidentiality of our admissions process, and will also include some questions about your access to devices/spaces that can be used for online interviews.

When completing the form, please enter your UCAS ID as one continuous number (without hyphens), e.g. 1234567890.

Submission of Portfolio (Architecture Applicants)

Architecture applicants: you must submit a PDF (6 A4 pages, and less than 15MB in size) of your own artwork prior to interview. The selection of images should, in part, reflect material you might bring to interview as part of your portfolio. Please read the Submission of Written Work guide for further instructions (and note that in this case you do NOT need to include a cover sheet).

Pre-Interview Reading

Some subjects require applicants to read something in advance of the interviews. If you are required to do pre-interview reading, your interview invitation will say so.

Post-Interview Decisions

All decisions will be communicated via UCAS on Wednesday 24 January.

In a very small minority of cases, where a College wishes to call an applicant for a Winter Pool interview, these applicants may be contacted earlier (from 12 January onwards) to make interview arrangements. Contact will be made by email and/or by telephone.
