Golden Anniversary (1976)

All those who matriculated in 1976 are invited back to College to celebrate 50 years since arriving at Trinity Hall. Guests are very welcome to join you.

On the Day

1.00pm: Lunch in the Graham Storey Room

In the afternoon there will be the opportunity to –

• visit the Old Library [meet in the Graham Storey Room]
• view an exhibition on the history of the College [in the Graham Storey Room]
• visit the new Wong Avery Music Gallery [in Avery Court]
• wander round the College gardens [information sheets will be available]
take a punt out [bookable from the Porters on 01223 332500]

3.30pm: Tea & coffee available in the Graham Storey Room

6.30pm: Group photograph

6.45pm: Drinks reception

7.30pm: Dinner in the Dining Hall

Dress code for the evening will be smart (black tie optional)

Guests are invited to join you at the event.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be available for the Friday and Saturday nights.

This will be in –

  • single student room on Central Site (£64 Bed & Breakfast)
  • double student room on Central Site (£82 Bed & Breakfast)
  • single ensuite room at Wychfield (£67 room only | £77 Bed & Breakfast)
  • double ensuite room at WYNG Gardens (£120 Bed & Breakfast)
    20 minute walk or short taxi ride from College on Thompson’s Lane

If you wish to stay overnight, please choose your preferred option when booking.

Breakfast for Wychfield & WYNG Gardens guests will be served on Central Site.

Additional nights may be available so please contact Liz Pentlow if this would be of interest.

You can book a hotel or B&B room via the Visit Cambridge website or visit the Cambridge Rooms site that includes accommodation at other Colleges.

If you have a University CAMCard you can get discounts on selected accommodation, including the Møller centre at Churchill College. These are listed on their website.

If you don’t already have one, you can apply for a CAMCard online.

Parking

There will be some parking spaces available at our Wychfield site. These cannot be reserved and will be allocated on a first come-first served basis. If you do park at Wychfield, you can either walk to College, which takes around 20 minutes, or the Porter on duty can call you a taxi to bring you down to Central Site. The Wychfield Gardens are worth a visit if you have some spare time.

Alternative parking options (including park & ride and city car parks) will be included with the final information that will be sent to those coming the week before the event.

Photography

We like to take photographs at our alumni events to use in our digital and print communications. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please let us know in advance or on the day.
