Dr Andrew Murray
Admissions Tutor for Sciences
I studied Biochemistry at Oxford and am now a Director of Studies in Natural Sciences at Trinity Hall. I am also a lecturer in the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience, and my research is concerned with the response of the body to low oxygen levels in diseases and at high altitude. I grew up in Newport, South Wales and was the first member of my family to attend university. For me, the experience of studying a subject that I love in a world-class institution was indescribably fulfilling, and might explain why I am still doing it today! I am committed to encouraging bright, passionate, young students to apply to Cambridge, regardless of their background, so that they too can have the life-changing experiences that I have enjoyed.
Dr Will Skylark
Admissions Tutor for Arts & Humanities
I studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge, and stayed on to do a PhD in Psychology. I spent the next 10 years working at the Universities of Leicester, Warwick, and Essex, before returning to Cambridge in 2014. I am the Director of Studies in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at Trinity Hall and am a University Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, where my research focuses on human judgment and decision-making. I hope to encourage bright students from all backgrounds to apply to Cambridge, and am deeply committed to ensuring that the admissions process is as fair as possible.
Miss Vicky Mills
I studied Natural Sciences at Newnham College, specialising in Zoology in my final year. I loved being a student at Cambridge and have been working in Admissions at Trinity Hall since 2004. My role is to communicate with applicants, arrange interviews and handle the administrative side of admissions. I am also happy to answer questions about admissions by email.
Ms Helena Blair
Schools Liaison Officer and Admissions Assistant
I studied Education with English and Drama as an undergraduate at Homerton College, University of Cambridge, before working for two years as Cambridge University Students’ Union (CUSU) Access Officer – a role focused on widening access to the University of Cambridge. I am now the Schools Liaison Officer for Trinity Hall, working with schools to encourage applications to the University of Cambridge, or to Higher Education institutions in general, by raising the aspirations of those from backgrounds with little or no history of progression to university. I was the first student from my Bradford state school to study at either Cambridge or Oxford, so it’s a job I’m very passionate about!
