Trinity Hall Undergraduate Offer Holders 2026

Congratulations…

…on receiving an offer at Trinity Hall!

This page contains some important and useful information including key dates and next steps. Please read it carefully and make a note of anything you need to action. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch.

Tasks for All Offer Holders

We require all offer holders to provide us with certain documents as part of the offer-making process. Please read this section carefully and follow the instructions provided.

Upload Exam Certificates - by 30 April

As mentioned in your offer letter, you need to provide us with copies of your examination certificates relating to any already-completed examinations referred to in your UCAS application, so that we can verify your results. Here are some step-by-step instructions:

  1. Log in to your UCAS account and remind yourself which qualifications you listed as ‘already taken’ on your application. (If you have completed any further qualifications since then, please also include these.)
  2. Hunt out any exam certificates showing the academic qualifications and grades you listed. We only need to see academic qualifications, so don’t worry about things like musical instrument grades or Duke of Edinburgh, etc.
  3. Create a single PDF file containing all the certificates.
  4. Name your PDF file as follows: Lastname_Firstname_UCAS ID_Exam Certificates (e.g. BOND_James_1234567890_Exam Certificates).
  5. Upload your file using the Admissions Documents Upload form.

College Board APs and SATs

There is a different verification process for College Board APs and SATs. In this case, you need to authorise College Board to share your results with Cambridge in ‘My AP’. The University’s code for College Board is 7181. Please see the following webpages for further information:

Upload Passport - by 30 April

Please create a PDF of the photo page of your passport, showing your name, nationality and date of birth, and upload it via the Admissions Documents Upload form. If you have dual nationality, please include both passports.

Upload Financial Documents - by 31 May

We require you to send us some information about how you are going to fund your studies at Cambridge. You should do that by completing a Financial Form. There are two versions of the form – one for students paying Home fees and one for students paying Overseas fees. Your offer letter will have stated which category you fall into.

You’ll find the following two documents useful when completing the form – the first one lists the fees for different courses and is particularly helpful for Overseas students; the second one tells you which documents you need to enclose with your Financial Form, useful for both Home and Overseas students:

If you are applying for a loan from the Student Loans Company, please read pages 2-3 of the document ‘Applying for a Student Loan‘ – this explains how to select the correct College and Course.

When you’ve completed the form and gathered together any other relevant documents, please combine them all into a single PDF and upload them via the Admissions Documents Upload form. The deadline for uploading your forms is 31 May.

If you are starting your course in 2027, you will need to complete a financial form next year in 2027.

Complete Accommodation Form - by 15 July

Later this Spring we will send you some information about the types of accommodation available and ask you to complete a form expressing your preferences by 15 July.

In the meantime, you can get some idea of College accommodation by visiting the Accommodation page and the Virtual Tour. First-year students are accommodated at Central Site and WYNG Gardens.

If you are holding an offer for 2027 entry, you don’t need to do anything until next year.

Important Information

This section contains important information on a range of topics, some of which will be relevant to all offer holders and some of which will be relevant to a subsection.

Email Contact

We will be sending information via email at various times between now and August, so please check your inbox regularly. If your email address changes, please make sure that you update your contact details with UCAS and inform us as soon as possible.

Offer Holders Open Days

On Friday 20 February, we will be holding an in-person Offer Holders Open Day, details of which will be sent to you by email. Later in the year we will also hold an online event for offer holders.

Regarding the in-person event, please note that we do not have space in the programme for parents. However, parents are welcome to walk round the College themselves before visiting the city centre to enjoy the local shops and cafes.

We do not have any parking available at College. The Cambridge Parking website gives details of city-centre car parks and a link to the Park and Ride.

Visiting the College

If you are unable to attend the in-person Offer Holders Open Day or would like to visit College again, please email the Admissions Office to make arrangements. Alternatively, you can get a sense of some of our wonderful spaces through our Virtual Tour.

IELTS or TOEFL Results

If you have been asked to provide IELTS or TOEFL results then please note that we will need to verify your results via an online verification process. In order for us to verify your results, please upload your certificate via the Admissions Documents Upload form, using the ‘Exam Certificates’ category.

Cambridge Trusts Scholarships - apply by 13 February

Each year the Cambridge Trusts offer a number of scholarships to undergraduate students who are required to pay the overseas rate of fees. Applicants are selected based on academic merit and financial need. We will send full information to those who are eligible shortly after sending offer letters. The deadline for applications is 13 February.

Choral Awards - apply by 15 February

Choral Award-holders are required to sing in the choir of their College chapel, attending regular rehearsals and services. Most Colleges also expect Choral Award-holders to play an active role in College music-making.

A Choral Award comes with a small financial award each year; however, the true value of the Award lies in the educational, social, and cultural opportunities and training made available to the holder, facilitating their intellectual and personal development in support of and far beyond the academic subject they happen to be studying.

The deadline for applications is 15 February. Please see the Choral Awards Scheme webpages for further information.

Instrumental Awards and Centre for Music Performance

Instrumental Awards for Chamber Music Scheme (IAS)

If you’re a passionate instrumentalist, the intercollegiate Instrumental Awards Scheme (IAS) enables outstanding student musicians to participate in top-quality chamber music whilst at the University. It is open to undergraduates and graduates at all colleges and is administered by the Centre for Music Performance (CMP).

The IAS supports chamber ensembles with concert opportunities throughout the academic year in Cambridge and further afield. A highlight this year will see two IAS groups performing at the prestigious Wigmore Hall in London!

Each member of the IAS receives a monetary award from their college, as well as financial support towards instrumental lessons.

Auditions take place in the first week of Michaelmas term and consist of a solo audition, with successful candidates progressing to a chamber music round. Audition repertoire will be available on the CMP website from April 2026 onwards.

For full details about the Instrumental Awards Scheme and audition requirements, please visit: Centre for Music Performance: Instrumental Awards for Chamber Music Scheme (IAS)

The Centre for Music Performance

The Centre for Music Performance offers something for every musician. Whether you’re interested in historical performance, jazz, gospel, contemporary music, or traditional orchestral repertoire, there are ensembles to suit all tastes and levels. Notable orchestral opportunities include the Cambridge University Orchestra (CUO) and the student-run Cambridge University Symphony Orchestra (CUSO), for which auditions are also held in October, alongside many other groups across all genres.

To find out more about all musical opportunities and ensembles at Cambridge, visit the CMP website: Centre for Music Performance: All for Music, Music for All

STEP Support Programme

The University of Cambridge offers a free online STEP Support Programme to help university applicants develop their advanced mathematical problem-solving skills and prepare for STEP mathematics exams. All offer holders who have STEP as a condition of their offer are advised to use these resources.

Support for Students with Disabilities

The College and the University work together to offer the maximum possible support to all disabled students. Now that you have received an offer (whether conditional or unconditional), we would like to give you a further opportunity to let us know if you have a disability, neurodiverse condition, mental health condition or long-term health condition and if you will require any support or advice when you come up to Cambridge.

You can read more information in the Disability Support Letter 2026. If you would like to disclose a disability (that you didn’t mention on your application*), you can complete the Student Information Form online.

*If you already mentioned the disability on your UCAS application, you don’t need to complete the form.

Cambridge Bursaries

As some of you are applying for Student Loans, you might like to know more about the Cambridge Bursary Scheme. This is for UK students or EU students with settled/pre-settled status.

In order to receive the Cambridge Bursary you must first apply to the UK Student Loans Company for financial assistance. You do not have to take up the Student Loan offered but you do have to go through their household income assessment process and be assessed as having an income lower than £62,215 in order to receive the Cambridge Bursary.

If you are eligible for a Cambridge Bursary, then you can include this on your Financial Information form. You can see how much you are likely to get by looking at the table on the Cambridge Bursary Scheme website.

Exam Results

If you are taking A Levels, STEP, Scottish Advanced Highers, or the IB Diploma, we should get your results automatically (IB students – make sure you have given permission to the IBO for your scores to be released).

If you are taking Advanced Placement exams, please authorise College Board to share your results with Cambridge, and tell us when you have received them so we can check online.

If you are taking another qualification (e.g. Advanced Placement, French Baccalaureate, HKDSE, Romanian Baccalaureate), you will need to send us your scores. Please scan a copy of your official certificate of results, stamped and signed by your school, and upload as a PDF document via the Admissions Documents Upload form, using the ‘Exam Certificates’ category.

Induction Week

The Induction Week is a compulsory part of the orientation process for new undergraduate students. It will include sessions giving information about the College, including an introduction to key staff members, workshops and study skills sessions, and social events arranged by the current JCR.

We are asking all first-year students to arrive at Trinity Hall on Sunday 27 September, so that they can begin the Induction Week on Monday 28 September.

The College will also ask you to hold an afternoon free in your calendar at the start of the Lent Term for some further induction activities.
