Alumni recognised in 2026 New Year Honours

Members of Trinity Hall have been recognised in the King’s New Year Honours list for their contributions to engineering and education. The New Year Honours List recognises the achievements and service of extraordinary people across the UK.
Peter Brewin (1999, Engineering) has been awarded an MBE for services to Engineering Materials Innovation. Peter has co-founded two companies to commercialise novel technologies, both of which have won multiple major design and business awards. He also holds a Silver Medal from the Royal Academy of Engineering for his contribution to UK engineering.
David Hudson (1981, History) has been awarded an MBE for services to Education. Over a teaching career spanning more than four decades, David has earned recognition for his contributions both within the UK and internationally, as well as for his dedicated service to his local community.
