The Admissions Team

Every undergraduate college has a person or team dedicated to processing the applications and facilitating the admission process of potential undergraduates at the University of Cambridge. Read on to understand who does this work for Trinity Hall. You can email the admissions team anytime for advice and support.

The Admissions Team are also dedicated to Widening Participation, sometimes referred to Access or Outreach work, within the College and University. They undertake research and design programmes of events to support and encourage applications from students from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Director of Admissions

Marcus brings a thorough understanding of the University admissions process and a strong relationship with Cambridge. He was a student at Robinson College, but joins Trinity Hall from Downing College, where he was a Fellow and Admissions Tutor for many years. Marcus’ research interests focus on various aspects of natural language, including the relationship between mathematics and linguistic theory. Most recently he has sought to develop language-based artificial intelligence systems that are designed to be more ethical.

“All aspects of admissions are being scrutinised extremely closely at the moment, both within the University and beyond. As Director of Admissions, I will do my best to ensure that the College continues to admit students from all social and educational backgrounds who have the greatest academic ability and potential, and that this is done in a fair and transparent manner.”

Miss Vicky Mills

Admissions Officer

I studied Natural Sciences at Newnham College, specialising in Zoology in my final year. I loved being a student at Cambridge and have been working in Admissions at Trinity Hall since 2004. My role is to communicate with applicants, arrange interviews and handle the administrative side of admissions. I am also happy to answer questions about admissions by email.
