Over the course of 67.5 hours between 13 and 16 May, Trinity Hall’s global community united to raise a remarkable £230,571 to support the future of Trinity Hall and our students.

Our fifth Giving Day brought the community together to celebrate our 675th anniversary year and the impact of collective giving.
This year, we raised funds to support:
- Postgraduates – Providing financial assistance through the Christopher Padfield Fund for MCR members to enable postgraduates to come to Cambridge for their research and make the most of the opportunities on offer.
- Rowan Williams Studentship – Enabling an undergraduate or postgraduate student from an area of conflict to study at Cambridge.
- Widening participation – Providing opportunities to everyone who have the ability to pursue a degree at Trinity Hall, regardless of financial or social background.
- Sustainability – Supporting our ambitious goals following the success of receiving a Gold Impact Award from the University of Cambridge for our commitment to sustainability.
- Boat Club – Helping students to maximise the effectiveness of their training and ensuring the club remains equal for all members.
- Think Ahead: area of greatest need – Enabling the College to plan and support vital initiatives by directing resources where they are needed most.
More than 360 people joined us to support the world-class education and beautiful surroundings that we’re known for. Every gift, no matter the size, will have a lasting impact on our students and the future of the College.

Thanks to the generosity of our alumni and friends, we were able to unlock over £80,000 in matched funding – helping gifts go even further this Giving Day.
The Trinity Hall community came together to support a range of exciting activities: our Online Global Pub Quiz, a plogging run – a fun, eco-friendly jog where students picked up litter along the way – and a 67.5-mile rowing challenge by the Boat Club, racing against the clock before Giving Day came to a close.
To everyone who has donated and spread the word – thank you. Your generosity and belief in our commitment to academic excellence and opportunities for all helps secure our future for generations to come.
If you would like to make a gift for Giving Day, you can still do so on the Giving Day website until the end of May.
This year’s Giving Day is part of our 675th Anniversary Campaign to shape Trinity Hall’s future. By joining us in the Campaign you can show you believe in the difference Trinity Hall can make to students from all backgrounds, play a vital part in the community to which you belong, and become part of our joint effort to ensure that Trinity Hall’s mission continues to excel in the modern world.
