In Lent term, the kitchen introduced carbon footprint labels in the cafeteria that indicate the greenhouse gas emissions per 100g for each of the main course dishes prepared by the kitchen. The informative labels help the catering team and visitors to the cafeteria assess the environmental impact of their food choices. Feedback from students and staff has been overwhelmingly positive. This labelling is part of a wider College initiative designed to help Trinity Hall members make informed food choices and maintain environmental and socially responsible
considerations in all stages of the catering process.
