Mark your calendars for an enlightening evening on Thursday 26 October 2023, as we welcome back one of Trinity Hall’s own, Dr Feng Rao (2010, Biochemistry). Join us at the Stephen Hawking Room from 18:30 to 19:15 for a seminar about his experience working as a patent attorney.

Join us for an engaging seminar as Dr Rao shares his insights, experiences, and expertise in the realm of patent law. Discover the nuances of protecting intellectual property, gain valuable knowledge, and explore the opportunities this field offers. This seminar is presented by THEN, Trinity Hall Entrepreneurs Network.

About Dr Feng Rao

Feng studied for a PhD in Biochemistry at Trinity Hall (2010-2014) after graduating from his undergraduate Masters degree at Oxford (also in Biochemistry). While at Trinity Hall, Feng was heavily involved with college life and was on the THBC and MCR committees.

Since leaving Trinity Hall, Feng decided to pursue a career as a patent attorney. He started his training at a firm in Southampton, and is now a European and Chartered patent attorney at J A Kemp LLP, based in their Cambridge office. He works with clients ranging from university academics to multinational pharmaceutical companies to help protect their inventions.

Trinity Hall’s Entrepreneurs Network has been launched to encourage entrepreneurship amongst Trinity Hall members, compliment the work of the University Enterprise Network and raise the profile of the College through increasing engagement with the sphere of innovation and entrepreneurship.
