Chapel Choir Reunion 2026

Former members of the Chapel Choir are invited back to perform at Evensong in the Chapel with current Choir members.

*Singing spaces are now fully booked, but please email Liz Pentlow to be added to the waiting list. There are still places at the dinner.*

The choir reunion will once again be led by the Director of Music Andrew Arthur, supported by the current choir and Organ Scholar.

Rehearsals will take place in the afternoon in preparation for a performance at Evensong in the Chapel.

After Evensong, there will be a drinks reception for all those involved and their guests, followed by a formal dinner.

There will be 52 singing spaces available in the choir, but more places are available at the dinner.

Programme

Timings for the day are as follows –

1.15pm | Coffee available in the Graham Storey Room

2.00pm | Rehearsals in the Chapel [with tea break in the GSR]

6.00pm | Evensong in Chapel

followed by a drinks reception in the Master’s Lodge

7.30pm | Dinner in the Hall

Dress code for the Evensong and Dinner is smart evening wear (black tie/lounge suit)

Accommodation

There is no accommodation available in College for the night of Saturday 17 January.

You can book a hotel or B&B room via the Visit Cambridge website (telephone them on 0871 226 8006) or visit the Cambridge Rooms site that includes accommodation at other Colleges.

If you have a University CAMCard you can get discounts on selected accommodation, including the Møller centre at Churchill College. If you don’t already have one, you can apply for a CAMCard online.

Parking

There will be some parking spaces available at our Wychfield site. These cannot be reserved and will be allocated on a first come-first served basis. Alternative parking options will be included with the final information, which will be sent to those coming the week before the event. If you do park at Wychfield, you can either walk to College, which takes around 20 minutes, or the Porter on duty can call you a taxi to bring you down to Central Site. The Wychfield Gardens are worth a visit if you have some spare time.

Cancellations

We are able to offer full refunds for bookings cancelled before midday on Monday 12 January. Requests for late refunds will be considered on an individual basis and refunds will be issued at the discretion of the Alumni & Development Office. We cannot accept responsibility if weather or disruption to travel prevents you from attending. Please email the office or call +44 (0)1223 332567 at the earliest opportunity, if you need to cancel a booking.

Photography

We like to take photographs at our alumni events to use in our digital and print communications. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please let us know in advance or on the day.

You can buy CD’s of the Choir singing and other College recordings from the Trinity Hall Gift Shop.
All CD’s are now priced at £3 each.
