Music Society

Music Society

Trinity Hall Music Society (THMS) is a student-run society which offers a wealth of musical opportunities to music-lovers in College, catering for all tastes and interests.

Membership of the Society is entirely free to all members of the College and enables use of the College’s musical facilities, access to the music library and the chance to meet other musicians, perform in or simply attend concerts and to keep up-to-date with musical events all over Cambridge.

THMS events
THMS organises a regular Sunday evening recital series, given by soloists and small ensembles from Trinity Hall and across the University. On occasion, these are held in the elegant setting of the Master’s Lodge; others take place in the more informal atmosphere of the Music Room.

Further annual events include open-mic nights and concerts given by larger-scale ensembles, such as the College’s Orchestra, the Trinity Hall Big Band and the Trinity Hall Singers. The Society has also cultivated a close partnership with the Preston Society, the College’s theatre group, which has resulted in several popular productions of stage musicals. Among those performed in recent years have been Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Wizard of Oz, Return to the Forbidden Planet, Little Shop of Horrors, Thoroughly Modern Millie, South Pacific and Cabaret.

Details of upcoming musical events can be found here.
