College Dining

Students in the Dining Hall

I thoroughly believe we have the best formals in Cambridge. When I first came to Trinity Hall, I didn't even know what a formal was! We have the right combination of very nice food, and a fantastic formal hall, which is historic and beautiful.

— Nicholas, postgraduate student

Cafeteria

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, this is where most students choose to eat their meals with friends. Inexpensive and great quality, food is charged electronically to students’ accounts.

Formal Halls

Twice a week, students have the option of enjoying a formal sit down meal, where food is served at long, sociable tables. Regular Super Halls have themed menus and have yet more festivities on offer.

Coffee Shop and Bar

Open throughout the day, the Coffee Shop is Trinity Hall’s go-to spot for barista-style coffees, sandwiches, snacks and a decadent range of homemade cakes. In the evening, this space transforms into Trinity Hall’s Aula Bar – a popular place to have a relaxing drink alongside others in the College community. This is also where student-run, themed ‘Crescent Room’ club nights are hosted.

Self-catering

For those who like to cook for themselves, there are self-catering options at all Trinity Hall sites. Central Site has microwaves, fridges and kettles in its kitchenettes, while Thompson’s Lane and Wychfield have fully equipped shared kitchens. There are supermarkets nearby and specialist food stalls at Market Square.
