The Trinity Hall Fund
Make a difference
A large number of relatively small donations can have a major impact. In addition to our long-term fundraising, the College raises money for the Trinity Hall Fund, which is disbursed during the following year to support activities under the following headings. This fund helps to meet the College's most pressing needs and thereby reduces strain on our endowment. Supporting the College in this way will give you the opportunity to join your fellow alumni at a special event for our donors.
Providing opportunities: Helping to alleviate hardship and ensuring that no talented student is unable to attend because of financial background.
Preserving our heritage: Helping to improve student accommodation, maintain our historic buildings and enhance our academic resources.
Continuing Cambridge excellence: Helping to maintain excellence in teaching and preserve the unique supervision system.
Attracting talent: Helping to raise the aspirations of schoolchildren.
Nurturing potential: Helping to ensure our students have an excellent all-round education.
Gifts to be spent at the College's discretion are particularly useful and will be directed to wherever the need is greatest. The College Disbursement Committee (whose membership comprises the Master, Bursar, Senior Tutor, Development Director, Tutorial Officers and Chief Clerk) meets every July to agree how the funds raised in the previous financial year should be allocated, and ensures gifts for a specific purpose are earmarked as the donor requested.
