Director of Studies

Professor Russell is the Director of Studies in ASNC for Pembroke, Peterhouse and Fitzwilliam Colleges, as well as Trinity Hall. He lectures in Welsh, Textual Criticism, and Celtic Philology.

His own academic interests include Celtic philology and linguistics; early Welsh orthography; middle-Welsh translation texts; medieval Welsh law; and early Irish glossaries.

As Director of Studies Professor Russell is responsible for choosing the best supervisors to work with you, depending on the papers that you choose.
