Dr Simon Guest (Tutor, Staff Fellow in Engineering; Reader in Structural Mechanics) has had papers published in Proceedings of the Royal Societyand the International Journal of Solids and Structures.
Dr Louise Haywood (Tutor & Staff Fellow in MML) and Jon Down are happy to announce the birth of Jacob William on the 7 January 2006.
Dr Jerome Jarrett (Staff Fellow and Director of Studies in Engineering), has been appointed to a University Lectureship in Engineering from 1 January 2007.
Mr Angus Johnston (Tutor, Staff Fellow and Director of Studies in Law) has published Basil Markesinis, Hannes Unberath and Angus Johnston, The German Law of Contract: A Comparative Treatise (Oxford: Hart Publishing, 2006); Piet Jan Slot and Angus Johnston, Introduction to Competition Law (Oxford: Hart Publishing, 2006).
Professor Michael Kelly (Graduate Mentor, Professorial Fellow; Prince Philip Professor of Technology) is also (part-time) Chief Scientific Advisor to the Department for Communities and Local Government.
Dr Vasant Kumar (Tutor, Staff Fellow and Director of Studies in Natural Sciences) was awarded an Honorary Professorship at Hebei Polytechnic Institute on 14 September 2006, Tansheng, China, and was also made a Plenary Lecturer in International Conference on Li Batteries at Russian Academy of Sciences at Ufa on 15 August 2006.
Dr Kumar was appointed External Examiner for Undergraduate Materials Science Course in KUKUM, Malaysia from 2005 to 2007, and was alsocoordinator and delegate member of University of Cambridge - University of Science & Technology Beijing Materials Science Forum held in Beijing from 9- 13 September 2006.
Professor Alison Liebling (Staff Fellow and Director of Studies in Social and Political Sciences) has been appointed Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice in the Institute of Criminology, from 1st October 2006. Professor Liebling read for her PhD at Trinity Hall and became a Fellow in 1991. She will be the first woman Professor on the Fellowship of Trinity Hall.
The Rev'd Dr Jeremy Morris(Dean and Fellow) has been re-appointed to the Faith and Order Advisory Group of the Church of England; he also attended the 6th General Assembly of the Conference of Protestant Churches in Europe in Budapest in September 2006 as the Anglican guest, on behalf of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Dr Morris has also edited, with Duncan Dormer, An Acceptable Sacrifice? Homosexuality and the Church (SPCK), which will be launched on 23 February 2007 at 6.30pm in the Graham Storey Room. Two forthcoming publications are: The Church in the Modern Age (I. B. Tauris), and To Build Christ's Kingdom (an F. D. Morris Reader (SCM Press)).
Dr Isabelle McNeill (Staff Fellow in French) has been appointed to the position of Affiliated Lecturer in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages under the Newton Trust scheme for college lecturers.
Dr John Pollard (Staff Fellow in History)and John Ainscough celebrated their Civil Partnership on the 27 March 2006.
Dr Pollard also had his essay The Papacy, 1914-2005 published in H. McLeod (ed.) The Cambridge History of Christianity, Vol. 9, Cambridge University Press, 2006.
Dr Graham Pullan (Staff Fellow in Engineering) and Helen Pullan (TH 93) are happy to announce the birth of Toby David on 7 January 2006.
Dr Kylie Richardson is pleased to announce the birth of a baby boy Joshua Richardson, born October 15th 2006.
The Hon Donald MacDonald (Honorary Fellow) was appointed Co-chair, Trudeau Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Toronto;
Paul Orchard-Lisle CBE (Honorary Fellow) was appointed Representative Deputy Lieutenant for the City of Westminster.

Dr Maria Tippett, wife of Professor Peter Clarke (former Master and Honorary Fellow) received an honorary LittD from Simon Fraser
University, Vancouver in June 2006, and an honorary LLD from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, in November 2006.
