About the event

‘Getting involved in social innovation and social entrepreneurship at Cambridge’

How can you build a career with businesses that support people, place and planet? Social innovation is an exciting space, and there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference through your work… but pathways into this type of work aren’t always straightforward.

This session with Tamzin Byrne from Cambridge Social Ventures at Cambridge Judge Business School will demystify social innovation, social entrepreneurship and socially responsible business. She will talk about where you might look for that first job, and how you might gain relevant experience while you’re here in Cambridge. The main focus will be on careers in entrepreneurship, the ‘third sector’ and corporate social innovation.

About Tamzin Byrne

Tamzin is currently Programme Manager at Cambridge Social Ventures, supporting entrepreneurs with a social mission to get started and grow. Prior to this, she worked in science communication, journalism and community development, in Australia, Kenya and the UK… not the career she thought a Bachelors of Science would give her!
