‘Your Career is a Marathon, Not a Sprint’ by Vishnu Chundi (2010), Co-Founder and CEO at AssetVault

Summary

The webinar ‘Your Career is a Marathon, Not a Sprint’ aims to encourage students and recent alumni to maximise careers growth and personal happiness. It offers recruitment tactics in times of COVID-19, as well as practical tips and advice for getting your first job, including working on your LinkedIn profile and CV. It also touches on networking, personal branding and storytelling.

Vishnu Chundi sets his webinar against the framework of the approach examined by Lynda Gratton and Andrew Scott in their book The 100-Year Life, which explores living and working in an age of longevity. Vishnu also explores the Japanese concept of Ikigai – looking at your mission, your passion, what you can be paid for, what you love, what you are good at and how you can contribute to the world. The content also touches on the work of Herminia Ibarra, Professor of Organisational Behaviour at INSEAD, who explores how one’s career trajectory is very often not a straight path towards some pre-determined identity.

The 75-minute webinar will be include an interactive session where participants will be able to ask questions and share experiences with leading professionals:

– Antonio E Weiss – Trinity Hall alumnus (2010); author of the #1 bestseller ‘101 Business Ideas’; Co-Founder at Thomas Clipper; public sector leader
– Prasanna Sankar – CTO & Co-Founder at Rippling.com, Silicon Valley unicorn
– Nattaphol V. – Executive Director at SiamRajaThanee, recently launched IPO in Thailand; interdisciplinary researcher
– Sonali Misra – Vice President – Talent at Bain & Company

The interactive session will be at the interval of Vishnu’s talk.
