The Trinity Hall Big Virtual Chat – celebrating our 2020 Graduands
|Date & time|
|Location||From your home|
|Event type||Virtual chat|
Thursday 25 June would have seen hundreds of graduands and their guests on Latham Lawn celebrating their success in their degree however, this year it is not possible for them to enjoy an in-person graduation. So instead, we want to encourage the Trinity Hall community to host mini-virtual chats on this day to help celebrate the achievements of our 2020 Graduands. We invite you to share messages of congratulations, whilst also enjoying a Trinity Hall virtual get together in the absence of our usual alumni events programme.
How will it work?
If you’re interested in participating, it’s quite simple:
1) Get together a group of your cohorts
2) Set up an online chat using Zoom, Skype, MS Teams, FaceTime etc. on Thursday 25 June
*It would be great to see everyone participating and sharing photos online from 8pm BST however, we appreciate that this may not be possible, especially for those of you in different time zones, so please do pick a time suitable for you.
3) Get creative: think up fun questions, plan a virtual game, share a cocktail/mocktail recipe, or keep it simple and just chat. It’s up to you!
4) Enjoy your virtual get together
5) Finally, send us your photos along with messages to the 2020 Graduands
Photos and messages: We want to see all your photos but more importantly, we want you and our Graduands to see them too… Take a screen shot of your conversation and share it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LinkHall using #THtogeTHer @TrinityHallCamb along with your message of congratulations. Alternatively, send your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org, along with your consent, and we’ll share it on LinkHall for you.
The challenge: Think Trinity Hall! We challenge you to brand your photo… Dig out your society jumpers, College ties, Boat Club blazers, simply dress in the College colours or upload a Trinity Hall background to your chat (click here for images of College). There will be a prize for the best photo!
Do I need to register?
You do not need to register as you are hosting your own virtual gatherings, however we would love to hear from you if you are planning to participate. Drop us a quick email at email@example.com.
I am unable to take part but would like to send a message…
If you are unable to participate in the Trinity Hall Big Virtual Chat but would like to send a message of congratulations to the 2020 Graduands, please feel free to do so. You can do this in the same way as above by either posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LinkHall using #THtogeTHer, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
How will students graduate this summer?
General Admission 2020 will be in absence only and will now be taking place on a slightly later date; Saturday 27 June 2020.
