Alumni Survey Results 2019
We have been surveying our alumni since 2011 to ensure details are up to date and to gather feedback on our activities. Alumni opinions are invaluable to help us improve and provide you with quality alumni programmes and content.
More than 1,600 alumni responded to the 2019 survey – thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’ve rounded up some key figures below.
Events and Community
Location was a determining factor for many of you when deciding whether to attend an event. Each year we host events around the UK and across the world. In 2019 we are holding events in Cambridge, London, Oxford, Birmingham, Durham, Edinburgh, Belfast, Paris, Zurich, New York and Toronto. We hope to see many of you through the year. If there is somewhere you think we should consider in the future, please let us know.
Keep an eye on our online events listing for upcoming events in 2020.
A huge thank you to the over 350 of you who offered to help us find venues in your area!
Have you joined our new online community, LinkHall, yet? 86% of those who said they had joined LinkHall are satisfied or very satisfied with the platform.
We wanted to know how you prefer to read news and articles so we can provide content in your preferred format. The results showed an even split: 46% prefer digital content and 54% prefer print. In response to this we will continue to provide you with news and articles in both formats.
Your preferred content topics are College news and alumni news. If you have any of your own alumni news to share, we would love to hear about it. You can either share directly with the community on LinkHall or email us for your news to be added to the annual Trinity Hall Review.
In 2020 we will be reviewing Front Court magazine and will take your feedback into consideration as we plan future issues.
Undergraduate student support is a top priority for you. Of those who answered the question, 70% told us they would be interested in donating to undergraduate support.
Student support is also a top priority for us. We want to ensure that no talented student is prevented from studying at Trinity Hall, whatever their financial situation, and to provide every student with comprehensive pastoral care. We have exciting projects in 2020 to help achieve this and we’re looking forward to sharing our plans with you.
Giving digitally is your preferred method of making a donation: 98% of respondents who choose to support students and College in this way found the online giving process as easy to use. Every gift makes a difference, no matter the size. Small donations continue to make a big impact to the lives of our students.
We’ve listened to your feedback and will be consulting the survey results as we plan our future activities.
A number of you wanted to hear more about alumni benefits, offering careers advice, donating to College and sponsoring a student event. We’ll be working on pulling this information together for you in the New Year so expect to hear from us soon.
Once again, thank you to all those who have been in touch with us over the year, and especially to those who completed this year’s feedback form. We hope to see and speak to many of you throughout 2020.
In the meantime, if there is anything we can help you with, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Following the introduction of GDPR, we will be sending out a survey to alumni every two years to give everyone the opportunity to update their details and provide us with feedback. If you do not want to receive a survey, please let us know.
