Opening Times

We do not have regular opening hours for the Old Library

  • We are open at General Admission for Trinity Hall graduands and their guests.
  • The Old Library is open to College alumni for some Trinity Hall alumni events (please contact the Alumni Office for further details of this year's events).

Tours

Unfortunately, because of staffing levels we are not able to offer Old Library visits on a drop-in basis. Visits and guided tours of the Old Library should be arranged by prior appointment. Please contact the Head of Library Services at least 14 days in advance, giving details of your visit and for the list of charges for tours.

The Old Library is ocassionally open for bookable tours to visitors via Open Cambridge and to Cambridge alumni via the Alumni Festival. Please check the Open Cambridge and Alumni Festival websites for further details.

Consulting the Collection

The volumes in the Old Library are available to scholars and researchers for consultation. However, if you wish to study any of the manuscripts or rare books you may do so only by appointment. Please contact the Head of Library Services at least five working days in advance, giving details of the topic of your research. The items you have requested will then be brought to the Jerwood Library for you to consult.
