Tax Efficient Giving: USA

Gifts to the College can be made tax efficiently through giving via Cambridge in America, a Section 501(c)3 registered organization working on behalf of the University and Colleges in New York.  In compliance with IRS regulations, the Board of Directors of Cambridge in America maintains complete discretion over allocation of gifts to Cambridge.  Gifts to Cambridge in America qualify for an income tax deduction to the limits allowed by law.  On receiving your gift, Cambridge in America will send an acknowledgement letter.  This should be retained for your tax records, as it fulfils the substantiation requirements that must be met in order to deduct your contribution.

CAm accept checks payable to Cambridge in America and sent to Cambridge in America, P.O. Box 9123 JAF BLG, New York NY 10087-9123; online; wire transfer, or transfer of appreciated securities via Wells Fargo Advisors LLC.

Overseas giving form

Bequests in the USA are also deductible from your taxable estate and can significantly reduce capital gains an estate taxes. See the Cambridge in America website for more details.

Donors who are subject to the tax in the UK and USA have the opportunity to give to Cambridge in America(UK) Ltd., a registered charity in England, and be simultaneously eligible for tax benefits in both countries, as well as Gift Aid if appropriate. See the Cambridge in America (UK) Ltd. website for more information.
