Dr Alex Jeffrey

Director of Studies, University Lecturer

Dr Alex Jeffrey is a Fellow of Emmanuel College and also Directs Studies in Geography at Trinity Hall. He is a Political Geographer interested in state-building after conflict, particularly within the former Yugoslavia. His research has sought to contribute to debates concerning critical geopolitics, civil society and transitional justice. Recently Alex's work has focused on the role of legal institutions in unifying states in the wake of violent conflict, and he has an active blog on this topic.

Alex is a very keen contributor to the Tripos, convening papers across all three years of study. As Director of Studies Alex is responsible for choosing the best supervisors to work with you depending on the papers that you choose.
