Desirable:A modern or ancient language

Written Work

Two school essays on any subject.

Admissions Assessment

All applicants are required to take the pre-interview written assessment for AMES at an authorised centre local to them (for a lot of applicants, this will be their school/college). Please see the Admissions Assessments page on the University website for further details.

IF YOU ARE COMBINING WITH A MODERN EUROPEAN LANGUAGE:

Subject Requirements

Essential:An A Level or equivalent in the MML language
Desirable:None

Written Work

Two pieces of school work, one of which should be in the MML language.

Admissions Assessment

All applicants for AMES with MML are required to take written assessments both pre-interview (the AMES assessment) and at interview (the Modern Languages assessment), if interviewed. Please see the Admissions Assessments page on the University website for further details.

The JCR (Junior Combination Room) is the College student union for undergrads. Organising socials, sports and entertainment, the JCR also has its own common room for meeting or relaxing with TV.
