Dr Tamsin O'Connell

Director of Studies

Dr O'Connell is the Wellcome Trust University Award Holder in Bioarchaeology.

Her research focuses on the analysis of diet and nutrition in past and present human populations using isotopic techniques.

As Director of Studies, Dr O'Connell is responsible for choosing the best supervisors to work with you depending on the papers that you choose.

Dr Willem Paul Van Pelt

Schulman Research Fellow

Dr Van Pelt is a Research Fellow with the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research.

His research interests revolve around two broad and interrelated lines of inquiry, being (1) the interplay between technology and culture, and (2) the material and biological conditions that result from intercultural contact and colonialism, and the various ways in which these impact expressions and experiences of identity.
