Finding new uses for old enzymes: two Trinity Hall fellows, Dr Lutz Jermutus and Dr Florian Hollfelder, have collaborated in a project that has led to the identification of a new application for a well-known human enzyme, MMP8. In tests it could disable a molecule known to play an important role in several inflammatory diseases, such as asthma and dermatitis.

The Clems/WYNG Gardens site was handed over to Cambridge Archaeological Unit in May to carry out a 10 week Archaeological investigation. The findings were presented last week.
