University and Colleges of Cambridge launch campaign promoting zero tolerance of sexual misconduct

27 October 2017

Earlier this week, the University and Colleges of Cambridge and CUSU launched a new campaign: ‘Breaking the Silence – Cambridge speaks out against sexual misconduct’. The campaign promotes zero tolerance of harassment and sexual misconduct and highlights a range of new prevention, support and reporting measures.

The Master, the Revd Dr Jeremy Morris, says: “Trinity Hall is absolutely committed to eradicating harassment and abuse, in whatever forms it is experienced by students and staff.  I really welcome this initiative.  It puts the spotlight on what is clearly unacceptable behaviour, and will help us tackle it decisively.”

Senior Tutor, Dr Clare Jackson, says: “Trinity Hall offers the strongest possible institutional commitment to the ‘Breaking the Silence’ campaign. I urge all students, staff, Fellows and alumni to engage with the campaign’s message and collectively seek to challenge social norms that perpetuate unacceptable behaviour.”
