Conquering Everest - Sixty Years On

EverestSixty years ago, the first successful ascent of Everest depended on the successful use of oxygen and the mountain is still helping us to understand the effect of oxygen, or lack of it, on the human body.

TH Fellow and Lecturer in Physiology, Development and Neuroscience, Dr Andrew Murray, is in Nepal as part of the Xtreme Everest Scientific Strategy Group investigating the body's response to hypoxia.
