"I think our college library is the prettiest and most comfortable in Cambridge. I usually come here for inspiration - with the attitude inside and the gorgeous views outside, it makes you want to work even more". (TH graduate student, 2011)

Trinity Hall takes great pride in its library which was officially opened in May 1999. Built as an addition to an early 20th century set of staircases, the library overhangs the River Cam offering excellent views of the river and its explorers. The library houses, on five levels, a comprehensive collection of borrowable books, reference works, and journals. It is a comfortable and quiet working space, with terminals for searching the library catalogue and a computer room at the very top. Wireless internet access is available throughout the library, and the popular and beautiful Reading Room has been designated a computer-free space for quiet study.
The Jerwood Library is open 24 hours a day to members of Trinity Hall. Our main focus is providing all the key texts for Part I undergraduate courses, though we do also purchase some books for Part II and taught graduate courses. The library is customer-led in its provision of books, and we are always very happy to receive recommendations from our users.
Designed by Freeland Rees Roberts, the Library was funded by the Jerwood Foundation. It has won a Civic Trust Award and a David Urwin Award for Conservation.
