Civil Ceremonies and Wedding Receptions

We offer one of the most idyllic settings in Cambridge for your wedding ceremony and reception, nestled against the river in the historic city centre. Our beautiful college and grounds provide the atmosphere and all the facilities you could need to host one of the most memorable events of your lifetime.

Graham Storey Room

The Graham Storey Room is our largest room available for civil ceremonies. Accommodating up to 75 guests, this room is an inspiring wedding setting with a historic yet modern feel.

With crested green leather chairs, wooden beamed ceilings and modern artwork the room evokes true Cambridge charm.

Located beneath our old chained library, this beautiful room leads out to Latham Lawn where your celebrations can begin.

Leslie Stephen Room

This stylish white wood-panelled room is located on the first floor overlooking the college’s beautiful front court, and is perfect for an intimate ceremony accommodating up to 40 guests.

Reception

Begin your celebrations in the stunning environs of Latham Lawn, overlooking the River Cam- a perfect backdrop for photographs. You and your guests can enjoy drinks and a range of luxury catering alternatives, from canapés to traditional afternoon teas, while playing croquet and garden games and taking chauffeured punting tours of the river. We can further source string quartets, jazz trios, magicians, caricaturists and many other entertainment options for your afternoon.

Wedding Breakfast

Your wedding breakfast can be held in our impressive Dining Hall. This room dates back to the 14^th century and evokes an atmosphere of elegance in which to host your feast, with a minimum capacity of 60 and a maximum of 100. With its traditional banqueting tables and dais, this striking room is the perfect setting in which to continue your celebrations. We are able to tailor the look of the room to your theme- linen, place cards and printed menus can be provided free of charge or you are welcome to provide your own. Further, the Hall’s balcony enables a string quartet or Jazz trio of your choice to play throughout dinner should you wish.

Our a la carte menu offers a range of fine wines and delicious courses. 

All dishes can be altered to suit any of your dietary requirements.

Evening

We can offer an evening reception in the Aula Bar & Crescent Room. This area has a maximum capacity of 150 and is suitable for live music or a disco. We can offer an evening buffet in the bar area- please see our menus for further details.

In addition to our menus we can provide chocolate fountains, a creperie and many other exciting catering options.

Entertainment

You are more than welcome to source your own evening entertainment, while we can help you provide a range of amusements from a disco to live acts.

Accommodation

We can offer your guests single traditional accommodation located on our central site, or alternatively can provide single en-suite accommodation on our Wychfield site a 20 minute walk away. We can also offer a large en-suite room for the bride to get ready in preparation for the day.

Accommodation can either be included in your wedding pricing or we can arrange an online booking system where your guests can book and pay online to take the organising away from you.

All accommodation is subject to availability.

Coordinators and Services

We understand that your wedding day is one of the most important days in your life so we are here to help ensure it exceeds all your expectations. Your dedicated wedding co-ordinator will be available to help along the way, whether it be sourcing entertainment or just answering questions that you may not be sure about. We can help as much or as little as you would like.

Alumni Weddings

We love hearing from alumni who wish to return and hold their wedding in college. There is no better place to hold your wedding than one already full of fond memories.

Some alumni are able to use the college chapel for their ceremony; this is at the discretion of the Dean who can be contacted on sjp27@cam.ac.uk.

As a thank you we would like to offer you a 5% discount on your total bill. Please note this does exclude any externally sourced products such as flowers or entertainment.
