The College offers a range of Studentships. They all arise through the generosity of benefactors – usually alumni who remember their time at Trinity Hall with affection and gratitude, and want to contribute something that will make it possible for others in future generations to enjoy the privileges they did in their youth.
Competition is open for these awards, and are awarded on the basis of academic merit. We look for very bright students who have done well and who are recommended with warmth and enthusiasm by referees of high standing. We expect students to contribute financially what they can, either personally (if this is possible) or by applying to other sources of funding, so that we can use our funding to leverage the maximum benefit for the greatest number of Trinity Hall students.
Online application available early February 2012.
The College has a fund that is used to contribute towards the costs incurred when graduate students undertake fieldwork, or wish to present their work for the critical appraisal of peers at academic conferences. The sums are small compared with the total cost of a degree at Cambridge, but these forms of engagement are extremely important, and we certainly encourage them.
An application form and further particulars can be obtained by emailing the Graduate Tutorial Office.
